Academic Support seeks to improve learning in a challenging college preparatory curriculum by providing support services to students with a wide range of abilities. Our full-time learning specialists provide individual and/or small-group support to students, their parents, and teachers, on an as-needed basis. Academic Support also maintains a list of tutors, educational therapists, and speech and language pathologists for referral outside school hours.
The offices for Academic Support are located on the first floor of the library and the hours are as follows:
- Monday 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Tuesday 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Wednesday 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Thursday 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Friday 8:00am – 3:00pm
Student referrals for academic accommodations or support are made at team meetings. No referral is necessary for drop-in visits, or individual appointments. Our services can help you learn to:
- Review material and homework for classes
- Prepare and study for assessments
- Get organized for each class
- Break down the steps of a project
- Create study plans
- Utilize online tools
- Determine individual study styles
- Review/study for tests and exams
